So this weekend was dedicated to my awesome husband Orson. He turned the BIG 3-0 on Monday, so we spent the whole weekend doing things that he liked to do. Starting on Friday, we picked him up early from work and took him up to the Austin on the water Boat Show at Lake Travis. The weather was beautiful, although every time we got out like that I am reminded that right now the sun and I just don't get along. Anyway, they had some really cool things on display and of course tons of boats to look at. We still really like the Sea Rays. They are small enough for us, but still has the amenities and options we like.
As we are beginning to raise our family I like the fact that they have toilets on board...just in case...because you know that no matter how many bathroom breaks you take there will always be that one kid who as soon as you pull away, has to go, and truly there are some things you just can't do in the water. Plus then he would actually have a ski boat, LOL, don't tell him I said that, he swears that his little bass boat can pull. And for that, I love him! After the boat show we decided to come home and relax. Since we were at home we decided to give daddy his b-day presents early. I had picked up all his r/c airplane stuff from his parent's house and gone and gotten him a gift card to get him started again. He was totally shocked. I think he's excited, but overwhelmed, b/c it's a really involved project.
Saturday morning we woke with a start. We got up about 9am, and I so wonderfully remembered that we were supposed to be at the church at 8am, it was our month to clean the building. So we quickly got dressed, woke up Savannah and ran out of the house. We got there and of course they were just about done, so we did what we could to do our part and left. We decided to stop by Jack-in-the-Box for breakfast and give their new breakfast bowls a try. Which for those of you that care...they were pretty yummy and not a bad price either. On our way out of the drive-through, Savannah decided that she wasn't feeling so great and puked all over her new carseat. YEAH! Just what we wanted to do...figure out how to clean her car seat which was only like a week or two old. So off to the house we went. We put her down for a nap, and Orson and I took apart and washed her car seat. I can now say that I am proficient in the workings of both car seats. After a two hour break at home we finally set off for the annual Texas Parks and Wildlife EXPO. We got there around 3, just as the crowds were leaving so that was good, but it only left us two hours to browse, which isn't much when you have a toddler in a stroller and a wife who is 9 months pregnant. We had a great time there and as always there was too much to see. Maybe one year we will get through the whole expo. We left the EXPO about 6 and decided against going up to Georgetown. Instead we stayed at home, made tacos and hung out watching some of our extensive DVR list.
Sunday morning we went up to Georgetown and spent the day with his family watching conference, playing, eating, and of course celebrating Orson's birthday. I made him a rice crispy cake and brownies. Good Choice Honey!
Monday was back to work for Orson, but since it was his OFFICIAL 30th birthday I couldn't let it be just like any other Monday. Savannah and I were gonna bring cupcakes in to the office, but when I called to check in on him, he told me that the office had already gotten him a chocolate cake. After Orson got off work, we met up with some friends and had dinner at Cheddars. We had a great time, great food, and of course we had to give him a present on his birthday. You'll see what it is as you look through the pictures below. All in all it was a busy weekend, but not busy enough to completly wear you out.
Here are some pictures from Monday night. I will also post a pic from the EXPO, but I'm waiting for it to be emailed to me. Enjoy!
The Birthday Boy on his Official Birthday.
Orson, Savannah, Derek, and Eric in front of Cheddars (our fav place to eat right now)
Derek and Eric (doesn't Eric have the greatest eyes)
Lindsay and I.
Our Little Family of Three (one of the last of it's kind I'm sure)
Savannah is helping Daddy open his present (somehow I think she'll know what to do when it's her turn)
Phase 10 Twist...Daddy's New Game (we have played this every night since....it's awesome...add it to your stack of games...or Christmas Wish List)
Savannah being the center of attention at the restraunt. She's growing so fast.
Walking all over, like she owned the place, man has she gotten fast.
Peek-a-boo...she was playing with the window. She was glad she could see me, but couldn't figure out why she couldn't touch me. Funny Stuff!
Hi Mom!
Savannah's new big girl car seat, as you can see, she loves. She talks so much more now that she can see us. Hopefully it will help her travel good when we go to Utah next month.

Happy belated birthday Orson!
If only the Sea Ray came with the bikini body too, now that would be an amazing boat...
:P
I miss seeing you guys, so am going to try to call and catch up.
Happy Birthday, Orson!
Lisa, you just can't get away from me. You're like obsessed. You marry a guy with the same birthday as me and then have kids with birthdays almost identical to my kids. Good grief, woman. I love you.
I tried to leave you a message earlier but it wouldn't work with me. Must have been something I said. I wanted to comment on the head band on Savannah. It is nice that we have finally won Lisa over. Jessie the dress is still beautiful and one of my favorites.
Savannah is gorgeous in the 'center of attention' photo underneath Orson's picture with his new game.
